The Second Trimester
Oh dear... i am editing this post now after a year ... okie about my second trimester... i was still having very bad morning sickness which i had the whole day so i reckon its "WHOLE DAY" sickness instead. I was still helping my hubby and still as active as ever and imagine i can still move furniture etcc etc.. never afraid till something happen. The trios were growing well compared to single pregnancy and cant imagine if i were to carry till fullterm, it will be like what?? At least a 9kg tummy and weight gain .. OMG cannot imagine that 30-40kg weight gain.

Mother's Word to Baby
Forgive me child, for delivering you so soon. I'm holding you in my lap, a bundle of clothes, tubes and wires, a snorting machine pushing air into your lungs. Are you really sleeping? Do you feel my love? Do you feel pain? Can i take over some of it? They tell me you are so strong, so determined, that im starting to believe it. One day, i know we'll laugh and play together. Then guilt comes back to stop the good fantasies. To remind me that my body betrayed you when you were still needy. My baby, forgive my weakness, my sickness, my haste. Give me a second chance. From now on i promise, i'll be strong and patient. I'll hold you against my skin. I'll enclose you in my arms. I'll make you a new womb in the world outside. Take all the time you need to learn to breathe and grow. Then, when you're ready, I'll take you home.

The First Trimester
Preparation For The New Arrivals
This is going to be a long post.. well i try my best to complete one shot if not it will be part by part..
Im a "Super Duper Kiasu Mummy", what to do.. 3 at a go.. so much things to prepare, so much things to check it out, so much things to do. But im quite "Pantang" one also, i only started buying bb stuff after first trimester. I know for malays they only get it during last stage.
Luckily i was well prepared by the 6th month, if not i will have more stress as some of you know that i need to give birth pre-term. So actually its some form of relief for me, at least im able to rest more and take my mind away from it. Im a perfectionist, i can't stand little little things uncomplete, i can't stand dusts (im allergic to dusts) and im a neat freak, all these can cause some stress and impact on my sleep. Opps ok i think i did sidetrack a little.. well early prep will help mummies remove some of the pressures you feel about the baby's imminent arrival, especially more to mummies who may give birth pre-term and also right now in Singapore, pre-term babies are on the rise due to a lot of factors, health, stress in work environment (for working mummies to be), stress in family and of course the unexpected accidents.. Some factors we can avoid, but some we simply can't even with precaution.
Its gonna be a busy 9 months for mummies preparing for the birth of their child both physically and mentally..
Preparation includes :
-Budgeting for the baby
- it will cost a lot of money just buying baby furniture and necessities, and can save a lot too if there are passed down pre-love items from friends or relatives and if babies on formula milk it will cost even more, not forgetting vaccinations, education costs etc.. especially when mummies are going to be a SAHM or mummies with multiples and also for pre-term mummies-the humongous hospital bill
-So far i have spent about $8k on baby's furniture and necessities (not forgetting x3 for my case)
-Hospital bill (well... i can buy a 3-4 room HDB flat)
Usually if money matters are not handled well, it will definitely cause some pressure and stress on the couple, so communication, understanding and finance management is very very important.
Hospital or Gynae
Hospital or Gynae to help in the delivery of the baby, and for mummies with threaten labour -please choose govt hospital with govt subsidy
-Childcare (as in who will look after the baby when they are born)
Usually the booking of confinement ladies will be done 4-6 months prior to deliveries, especially early for famous confinement ladies
For parent's parents or in-laws who want to resign from their work to help to look after the babies also have to give notice to the company
-Nursery
Essential items like baby's sleeping place, changing table (omit if parent's are using bed to change baby), night light as this will soothe the baby during night time when they are awake for feeds or change, Drawer or cupboard space to store their clothes, towels, cot sheets, cot bumper, blankets etc....wet wipes, diapers, diaper cream. Ok this lists goes on and on and on...
For mummies to be who need preparation on Nursery and a rough guide on pricing of items may feel free to contact me. I will try to assist you whatever i know.
-Antenatal Classes
Some mummies prefer to attend antenatal classes like yoga for relaxation or swimming to help ease the load on the tummy.
For me, i swim as it really helps to lighten the load off my belly and it really feel soooo good.
-Parentcraft Classes
I guess this is pretty important for 1st time mummies like me even though with others help from the mouth.. Hands on practice is really important.
Parentcraft classes usually are help by the hospital or even pte institutions. These classes involve breastfeeding, bathing and massaging of babies.
I highly recommend mummies to attend parentcraft so do my other first time mummy friends who have never come in contact with infants before and yes they really dunno how to handle a baby at all and they freak out the moment the baby cries.
-Names
For me this process takes 7 months to finalise as for chinese families, they may want to send the chinese names for "Feng Shui Master" to calculate..

The Worse Day of my Pregnancy
This is the worst day of my pregnancy i think : 15 December 2008. I was asked to go back to my gynae for a 2nd scanning on this day
Scan shows that one baby is bigger than the other 2. 1 is consider 7 weeks 5 days in size and thats Mattias and the other 2 that share the same placenta is 6 weeks 4 days and 6 weeks 5 days..which is Josiah & Jeriel.
I was hoping that the other 2 could catch up if not i will have to make a decision to take away the other 2 aka abort the 2 that shares the same placenta as it will cause complications as they are 1 week in difference and the gap will be bigger as they grow..and of course worse case scenario is TTTS. The gynae wants me to make my final decision by the 5 Jan 09.
Its was 2 weeks of nightmare for me.. I felt so sad and depressed and searched all over the net about multiple pregnancy, TTTS etc....seems that there are not much about triplets birth story, so it makes my decision even more harder to make.

I got a big surprise!!! Triple joy!!!
The day i knew i had triplets was during my first scan when i was 6 weeks plus on the 9th December 2008, i guess this is the best Xmas present for me and my hubby.
My 1st scan was done by a sonographer.. she scared me a little as she said.."I think i saw more than 2 heartbeats.. i think there's another one.. should be a third one..(there was silence).. MY MOUTH WERE WIDE OPEN... HEARTBEAT WAS BEATING FAST.. actually i was frightened..in my heart i was thinking oh my hubby's dream come true as he was longing for twins but gave him another one more..frightened as i dunno how to manage this pregnancy.. Many many thoughts on my mind and also im thinking how to break this news to him and my family..
BIG HOOHA at the clinic.. the sonographer rushed for my gynae and double confirm the triple pregnancy.
Congratulations to me !!! Haha..
This is getting more and more exciting .... The Beginning......

Getting Fatter??? Morning Sickness??? Bigger Boobies???
Well... getting fatter is part and parcel of pregnancy, i can't wear my pants OMG yes right from 5th weeks onwards .. YES YES its that "KUA ZHANG".. Morning sickness kicks in from 5th week plus... Gosh my morning sickness is super terrible and i shall not classify it as morning sickness but whole day sickness as it hits me all day long therefore i need to be on motilium.
Oh my whole pregnancy.. so far i did not put on a lot of weight, luckily most weight put on went to the babies and my tummy only more obvious from 5th month onwards. I only put on like 10kg for the whole pregnancy.
Bra size increased already by 1 cup size by the 5th month for the preparation of breatmilk production.

The Day I Knew I Was Pregnant
The day i knew i was pregnant was on the 21 November 2008 (Fri), BFP known via blood test. I took urine test via pee stick few days back, but was a faint line and was uncertain till the 100% accurate blood test with a rather high HCG level, that we suspect it might be a multiple pregnancy.
IM A SUPER ACTIVE PREGNANT MUMMY... please dun be like me.. too active is no good hor..

Healthy diet & foods that must be avoided during pregnancy
This post is for the preggies :
A healthy diet for preggies must always consist of 5 daily portions of fruit and vege. This is particularly important and must always make sure that a balanced diet with sufficient carbo, proteins, minerals & vitamins as well as plenty of fibre to help prevent constipation (especially good for woman who have incompetence cervix) like me. Yes, constipation is usually a common complaint during pregnancy.
Folic acid is important and must be consumed 400mcg daily for at least 3 months before conception if possible, if already pregnant - to take once positive aka BFP. Folic acid also can be found in green leafy vegetables like spinach (i took a lot of spinach during my pregnancy) and also via supplements.
I took so much supplements during my pregnancy that i hope i can still list down a few.. but of course prescribe by the gynae ... Including Folic Acid, Iron tabs, Calcium tabs, DHA tabs (tried Natal care plus and NeuroGain, but Natal care plus is rather fishy and when burp can smell the fishy smell therefore prefered brand is NeuroGain), progesterone for some to "An Tai" (Oh progesterone is not cheap .. if i can remember its abt $100 plus for a weeks supply .. depending on Gynae's prescription too - comes in tablet, insertion and jabs form)
There are so many foods that should be avoided once BFP as they may cause harm to the unborn baby. Food includes pate - unless they are pasteurized, unpasterized dairy products such as blue cheese, undercook meat - my all time fav medium rare beef, undercook eggs - another all time fav half boil eggs, shellfish - gosh another fav like lala, "tua tow", the "Hum @ newton" with cold beer hahaha .. , Dang Gui (said to cause miscarriage if taken), Rojak, Sushi, Cold stuff etc... Well actually the list is never ending.. for the benefits of the baby.. "REN". For coffee and tea drinker like me.. its better to cut down on caffeine intake or reduce and if "Kiasu" like me i 90% reduced my intake of caffeine like maybe 1 cup a week or 1 cup fortnightly untill i totally cut off and switched to 100% Mummy's milk - Similac, Anmum or Enfamum..(prefered brand Similac as Enfa n Anmum give me rather bad heartburn), well not to say all alcohol and smokers must stop this habit totally.
Guess this is a long post.... yes i know i know.. my babies... haha.. exclusive will come later... be patient...

I wanted to create a blog specially dedicated to my family, friends and couples with multiple pregnancy.
Recently I have been so busy going to hospital to send my milk to the babies and have been delaying this blog. Finally finally and finally now i've decided that i shall not drag anymore if not it will be a neverending drag!!!

From here, i would like to share what are the necessaries and what are the extras..what's most important and what's not. Oh man... i wonder if people will say i so "Chiong hay" aka long winded or not.. Pardon me if i sidetrack k...
So i shall begin... Enjoy..
For a start i guess i shall introduce my triplets first
